Helping People
Succeed in Securing and Maintaining Employment
Supported Living
Assist people find
and live in their own homes and apartments by providing the
support necessary to insure safety, budgeting and
participation in community.
The key components of
a quality Supported Living arrangement are (1) developing a
support system that enables a person to live in a safe and
challenging environment (2) making informed choices about
his or her life (3) commitment of the Supported Living Coach
to act upon those choices.
Each support or
service is tailored to the individual's unique preference
and requirements. People are not expected to
demonstrate complete independence in order to participate in
Supported Living. Instead, it is acceptable that all
adults should be able to live in their own households in the
community with whatever level of assistance they need.
